You will be required to drive long distances on unsealed roads to check water depth in tanks and turkeys nests. Though nearly all bores on Manners Creek are set up on solar, the few that have motors need to be started to maintain water levels. These motors also need to be serviced regularly by you.
The troughs at each watering point need to be cleaned regularly as well, and checking fences and enclosures while doing your runs is also required. In the event a bore stops working, you will need to pull it up and repair it. You will also be required to make a reliable list of parts that need ordering to fix and/or maintain the bores.
Establishing your own routine for the runs is essential to ensure that every watering point is monitored properly.
